Takakkaw Falls, Yoho National Park

Previous Photo : Photo Index : Next Photo

This is Yoho National Park's big attraction (in more ways than one). The thundering cascade of Takakkaw Falls drops 380m into the Yoho Valley. This height is even more impressive than it sounds once you stand at the foot of the cliff. A short trail leads to the base of the falls where spray blasts everyone who ventures near. This photo was taken from a drier spot just over the Yoho River.
