New Mexico Photos
Badlands, Highway 44

Previous Photo : Photo Index : Next Photo

The transition between painted desert and badlands is gradual, spanning a distance of hundreds of miles. By the time you reach the Four Corners region in New Mexico, the attractive reds and blue greys have turned to pale greys that some find less appealing. Highway 44 passes through the heart of this otherwordly landscape.
